Davis Nardone is a boutique law firm located in Concord, North Carolina that services Charlotte and the Triad. Formerly known as the Law Office of Amy S. Davis, our firm is a partnership formed by Amy S. Davis and Kristen S. Nardone in 2012 to better serve clients of both Amy S. Davis and Kristen S. Nardone.
Areas of practice include bankruptcy law, adoption law, and estate planning law.
Amy’s passion lies in adoption law. As the mother of two young adopted children, she is familiar with the process first hand and understands the emotional, financial, and practical elements of adopting a child.
Amy has also practiced bankruptcy law for over 19 years and has helped more than 1,000 individuals and families get relief from debt.
Kristen’s passion lies in bankruptcy law, which she has practiced for twelve years. She greatly enjoys solving the financial puzzle of each client. She is the only bankruptcy attorney in Cabarrus County certified as a specialist in consumer bankruptcy law by the North Carolina State Bar.
Kristen often lectures at bankruptcy law continuing legal education courses for other attorneys and is a frequent publisher in scholarly bankruptcy journals. Her recent publications include “Modification of Plan Length for Above Median Income Debtors” published in the American Bankruptcy Institute Journal in 2011 and authoring the chapter of the North Carolina Bankruptcy Practice Manual discussing Chapter 13 Debt published by the North Carolina Bar Association in November of 2012.
Amy S. Davis
Amy was born in Pennsylvania but was raised mostly in New Jersey. She attended Oral Roberts University and earned a BS degree in 1991. She spent a year working as a Governor Fellow at the Inns of Court of Virginia and then went to Regent University where she studied both public policy and the law. In 1995, she graduated with both MA and JD degrees.
Amy passed the North Carolina bar in 1996 and began practicing law in Concord in the office of another attorney. She quickly decided to open her own practice and opened the Law Office of Amy S. Davis in 1998.
Along with Consumer Bankruptcy, she handles Family Law and Adoptions, both domestic and foreign. After practicing adoption law for over ten years and helping hundreds of families navigate the adoption process, she and her husband adopted a boy in 2008 and a girl in 2009.
Amy is currently a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys.
In her spare time, Amy enjoys sewing, reading, and antiquing.
A lifelong North Carolinian, Kristen was born and raised in Brevard, North Carolina. She attended the University of North Carolina at Greensboro earning a BA degree summa cum laude in 1998 then law school at Wake Forest University where she was a recipient of the Wake Forest University Law Faculty Scholarship.
Kristen has served as a law clerk for two federal bankruptcy judges – the Honorable J. Craig Whitley of Charlotte, North Carolina and the Honorable Thomas W. Waldrep, Jr. of Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Since 2001, Kristen has concentrated primarily on bankruptcy matters representing debtors, creditors, and trustees in all aspects of consumer bankruptcy proceedings.
Kristen is a member of the North Carolina State Bar and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. She served as a member of the Bankruptcy Council of the North Carolina Bar Association from 2006-2009.
Kristen is the mother of young twins. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, playing tennis, and reading. She is the PTA President at her children’s elementary school.
